Some Things Even Highly-intelligent People Fail At

Here’s one place where most highly intelligent people fail immensely:

A career (IE, a job). At first, it seems almost impossible, right? Why would someone who is so naturally intelligent fail at an area of life where they can put that intelligence to great use?

Well, the tragic answer is that most intelligent people get immensely bored with repetition.

Most jobs are boring. Most jobs are repetitive. Most jobs are stagnant. Most jobs require tenacity. Intelligent people cannot usually handle any of these things with any level of success.

Why?

Well, for most highly intelligent people, answers come quickly, solutions are aplenty, challenges are always stimulating and situations are constantly maliable.

As such, they can’t handle the monotony of a daily grind, because they’re constantly seeking an upwardly intellectual challenge. The concept of actually repeating the same “already grasped” task seems entirely redundant to them.

Their boredom is increased 100-fold over that of a standard worker because they can never find an outlet for their creativity and problem-solving skills.

Even intelligent engineers and scientists find themselves bored to death within their fields.

Often times (surprisingly), some of the most intelligent people you meet will be those travelling the world or on the street. They enjoy this “poor” lifestyle because it’s rich with varied experience and immense knowledge.

Next time you see a homeless person, try not to think “they could use a job”...

… It might very well be that the job is the one that could benefit from them.
